“Not only is your story worth telling, but it can be told in words so painstakingly eloquent that it becomes a song.”

There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are messengers of overwhelming grief…and unspeakable love.
(Washington Irving)

“Love is stronger than death even though it can’t stop death from happening, but no matter how hard death tries it can’t separate people from love. It can’t take away our memories either. In the end, life is stronger than death.” The loss of someone we love alters our lives in a split second. Everything changes, except our love for the one that has gone. It remains – strong as ever. In the days following the loss of someone we love, it is vital to hold tight to that love, for it will become strength to you.

As your Celebrant, I will honor both your love and your heartache in a tender, caring yet very professional ceremony honoring your loved one. A Celebration of Life ceremony helps to form a link between the past, present and future. For many, it is the first step in the healing process.

No two stories are ever alike. Every life lives itself in a completely unique and wonderful way through each set of eyes, pair of hands and earthbound feet. Every heart beats with a unique tale to tell of its lifetime journey and inevitable passing.

Each of my services is custom created to fit the person that has died. I feel so pleased and honored to do this work because I have lived through the experience of loss (see About Marta). I understand the need to eulogize, honor and pay tribute to a loved one that has passed on. Families don’t have to leave a funeral feeling emptier after the service than when they arrived.

I am available for any number of ceremonies, but the two most asked for are Memories and Recollections and Celebration of Life.

Memories and Recollections services generally take place during the visitation time when most family and friends are present. This service is generally limited to a personally written eulogy for your loved one. This is a wonderful option for families who still want a religious service by a clergy, but who also want a personal touch in addition to that.

Celebration of Life ceremonies are a full scaled funeral service which usually includes music, prayers, scripture and/or readings, a personally written eulogy and graveside committal service.
